A blossoming Series of poetry

A space that has begun to take shape — to grow of its own volition.

From Sprouting to Rooting, Seedling to Flowering, and now, Branching

Conspicuously inspired by the developmental stages of plant life, these events have spiraled up toward the sun, organically growing under my watchful eye. i couldn’t have predicted the parallels this series might run against the transformations that have taken place in my own life since the inception of the series.

These spaces have been called authentic and warm, vulnerable and welcoming… and other people have told me that as a host, I am comfortable on the mic and capable of slashing the tension in a room that can incite some (or a lot of) stage fright.

If you want to feel warm and fuzzy, if you want to laugh at a quirky Jersey girl…

There is something about running shows in sober spaces that appeals to me, and which calls for a more intimate experience.

Most events run 2.5 hours from start to finish, with a break in-between the featured reader and the open mic set.
